I'm Vinay Kumar, an enthusiastic Interaction Design student at the Industrial Design Center, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. My journey in the design world has kindled a deep passion for humanizing technology through design. I'm committed to crafting user-centered experiences that deeply resonate with people. My design philosophy is rooted in the constructivist ideology, where I strongly believe in design's transformative power. It has the ability to shape and enhance our interactions with the world. I approach my work with a social perspective, understanding the profound impact design can have on society and addressing real-life challenges with innovative solutions.

Guided by Prof. Girish Dalvi
Worked as a fellow to explore participant and non-participant research methods Focusing on education of semi-nomadic Bharwad children up to 4th grade. Currently, exploring the interactive tools for language development.
Concept and Design Development: Spearheaded the Interaction Design team's efforts in user-oriented research, analysis, and conceptualization.
Application platform: Developed diverse platforms, including mobile applications, live websites, and an under-development web application.
Prototype testing: Involved in prototype testing with users and experts to identify and address challenges.
Involved in both concept and design development stages.
Conceptualized designs,
incorporating 3D modeling and visualization.
I actively contributed to both the concept and design development phases, where I prepared meticulous inspection and presentation drawings. This experience granted me the opportunity to work on projects ranging from high-rise apartments to luxurious bungalow designs.
Throughout this period, I was involved in significant projects, including the Amazon headquarters building and the Kharghar Master Plan proposal. My responsibilities encompassed BIM modeling, conceptual development, creating presentation designs, and generating working drawings. I actively participated in both the concept and design development stages.
I actively participated in the architectural design process, where I had the opportunity to create working drawings, electrical layouts, and conduct site visits to supervise projects. Additionally, I handled estimation and approval details for construction projects.
“Architecture Beyond Urban Boundaries”
I, along with four of my friends, initiated a project with the aim of introducing architectural practices in rural areas and tier 3 cities. Specifically, I took the lead in the architectural design aspects of the project in the Seoni area.
We have been shortlisted as finalists for an essay competition, where we have chosen the rural skill-sharing environment and explored it through the lens of vernacular architecture.
We have developed a digital system of applications and devices for slums and gig workers in Bhopal to share their work and create an ecosystem of work-sharing. It was a socio-economic empowerment solution.
We conducted a comprehensive documentation and research project on Kuchaman Fort during the competition. Our approach involved utilizing GIS tools for precise documentation, employing advanced 3D modeling techniques, and implementing micron rendering methods.
We have proposed ideas to rejuvenate the UCIL-Bhopal gas tragedy site. During this time, I have explored various digital visualization tools.
We have generated ideas for Alien's hub. In this competition, we have explored various ideation methods to generate ideas.
